Bonnie Bennett (Katerina Graham) | 18 | Senior | Witch | Open

Bonnie had just began her junior year at Mystic Falls High School when she revealed to Elena that she is a descendant of the Salem sorcerers and that she’s apparently a witch. The two of them enjoyed making jokes about it, never thinking that it could be real. But once Bonnie learned that she really is a witch, she immediately showed Elena and told Caroline about it not too long after. She has always been willing to risk her own life for those of her friends, and usually does anything within her power to help them. This was proven the night Bonnie was willing to use all of her power and die to kill off Klaus (who was in Alaric’s body at the time) so he would no longer be a threat to Elena.

Bonnie is one of the most powerful witches in the entire world, and comes from a long line of strong witches. She has come to hate vampires with the exception of Caroline, because of their long friendship, because of everything and everyone that she lost because of them. She had sacrified a lot, what with her grandmother dying and her mother becoming a vampire. She wishes that she could just be normal again, back to before all the supernatural revealed itself. Unfortunately, once introduced to the supernatural world, there was no going back. She and her friends had to move to ensure everybody’s safety, since they were still unsure which bloodline they all come from. For Bonnie, all she cared about really was the safety of her mother and Caroline, since she only tolerates the Salvatore brothers for Elena’s sake. When Caroline revealed that she had distant family in a small town called Beacon Hills, they all planned to move there, deciding not to separate.

• Despite whatever her friends have to say and how much she dislikes the originals, she plans to keep all the originals safe in order to keep her friends safe.
• Is confused by her lingering feelings for Jeremy.
• Finds herself having a hard time knowing who to trust.
